Climax 545-A Welding Goggles
The Climax 545-A goggles provide effective protection against radiation produced during oxyacetylene welding and oxygen cutting operations. They combine robust materials and a functional design to ensure both safety and comfort for the user.
FRAME AND FASTENING SYSTEM
The frame consists of two main components: a green front section and a black collapsible fastening system. To begin with, the manufacturer molds the green front from PVC resin, incorporating a continuous slot along its inner perimeter. This slot allows the collapsible frame to lock securely into place.
Furthermore, the collapsible frame—crafted from injection-molded polyamide—is divided into two parts. The fixed section attaches directly to the front and holds the two colorless eyepieces. Meanwhile, the movable section supports the two filtering lenses. After the welding task is completed, users can simply lift this section to restore clear vision through the colorless lenses.
LENSES
Each pair of goggles includes four circular lenses, all with a diameter of 50 mm. Specifically, two of the lenses are colourless and have a thickness of 3 mm. In contrast, the other two lenses, made from non-actinic glass, serve as filters and measure 2.6 mm thick.
Importantly, the collapsible part of the frame houses the filtering lenses. As a result, users can easily flip them up when they are no longer needed, allowing for uninterrupted visibility through the colorless lenses.
