Usage & Suitability

• Designed for use in plumbing, industrial, construction, and hydraulic‑type applications.

• Provides good leverage due to its 450 mm length, which helps in loosening tight or stuck pipe fittings.

• The hardened jaws (55‑60 HRC) resist wear, so teeth stay sharp and continue to grip well even under heavy use.

• The body hardness (40‑49 HRC) gives a good balance: strong and tough, but less likely to fracture under shock loads than very brittle materials.

Considerations / Advice

• Because it’s large and heavy (~2.2 kg), using it requires some strength and care, especially in confined spaces or overhead work.

• Always wear protective gear (gloves, safety glasses) since slippage can cause injury.

• Ensure that the jaw size is appropriate for the pipe diameter you’ll be working with—if the pipe’s diameter is close to the maximum (63 mm), you’ll have less adjustment margin.
